18" + 2" extension African Trade Bead necklace. Each African Trade Bead is handmade from recycled glass in Ghana. The glass is crushed, and then fired in a coal stove. After the beads dry, they are individually hand painted and transported to South Africa, where the necklaces are assembled by craftsmen into unique designs. The necklace has a base metal lobster clasp closure and extension chain. A portion of the proceeds goes to support up-and-coming South African Jewelers. Necklaces will vary in color, bead shape, bead size, and bead design. Each necklace comes with a descriptive tag and an organza gift bag.
